DO YOU HAVE A MORNING ROUTINE? WHAT ARE THE STEPS?
After I hit snooze about 4 or 5 times my husband finally pushes me out of bed. First stop is the kitchen for a full glass of room temperature water. And I’ll turn on the kettle for tea. Right now I’m on a Yerba Mate kick so while my tea is steeping I go to my meditation corner by the window. Depending on the day I’ll meditate with my Japa beads, journal in my MANTRA MOVES journal, follow a guided meditation by my favorite Roger Gabriel (@rogergabriel108) or read a chapter in my book. Currently reading The Dalai Lama’s The Art of Happiness.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE FORM OF MOVEMENT?
If I had to pick one ….. it would be walking. You can do it anywhere, anytime and it literally takes you places. I love exploring and being in nature so combining that with movement is my favorite! Even if it’s just for a walk around the block I can find so many hidden joys when I get outside. - Feeling the sun on my face, breathing in the fresh air, noticing a flower blooming, pups looking for pets, squirrels doing their squrriely things, maybe share a smile or a hello with a neighbor. It’s the little things, ya know!
